Youth Toolkit for the High Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS 2016
The youth toolkit for the High Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS (HLM) 2016 is developed by the PACT, a global coalition of youth organizations working collaboratively in the HIV response towards ensuring the health, well-being and human rights of all young people. The toolkit provides information about the HLM including what happens before, during and after the meeting as well as what youth organization can do even if they are not able to attend the actual meeting in New York on 6-8 June. This document has been prepared by and for young people but is also intended for use by civil society more broadly.
There are many ways to be involved in the HLM, including working with your own government to advocate for particular language in the Political Declaration, seeking to ensure that Civil Society representatives are included in your country’s HLM delegation, and joining with other advocates around priority areas. Throughout this document you will find some ideas about what you and your organization can do to make sure your voices are heard and that young people’s priorities are on the agenda.
