Ms. Alia Amimi : The New Coordinator of the Regional Global Fund Platform in the MENA Region

ITPC-MENA is pleased to inform you that Ms. Alia Amimi has recently joined ITPC-MENA as Manager of the Regional Global Fund Platform in MENA.


Under this position, Ms. Amimi will be supporting closer community engagement with the Global Fund and its processes across the region. Her responsibilities include: contributing to knowledge improvement of the Global Fund among civil society and community groups, coordination with other technical assistance initiatives, improving of understanding of and help to address technical assistance and capacity development gaps, and supporting strategic capacity development initiatives in the MENA region
Ms. Amimi is a holder of a master degree in Governance, International Relations and Political Sciences from Science Po Grenoble. She recently left ICESCO where she served as a program associate for resource mobilization in the area of partnerships and international cooperation. She was also the main consultant for the launch of the African Women Leader Network – Morocco Chapter, which is a groundbreaking movement of African women leaders. 


Ms. Amimi also gained a substantial working experience at the African Development Bank (AfDB) office in Morocco on topics related to poverty and inequality reduction in Africa; and her past work experience at ITPC-MENA between 2017 and 2019 allows her to have a good understanding of the response to HIV and TB epidemics as well as civil society landscape and challenges in MENA region.


ITPC-MENA is thrilled to see Ms. Amimi back home at ITPC-MENA working on CSO field. Her past work experience, dynamism, motivation, and commitment will contribute to ensure the continuation of the great achievements accomplished by the previous coordinators of the MENA Regional Platform.
