ITPC-MENA continues as the host for the Middle East and North Africa region
As a key component of the Global Fund’s Community, Rights and Gender Strategic Initiative, the Regional Platform for Communication and Coordination will continue to support and facilitate civil society dialogue and engagement with Global Fund grants and processes. ITPC-MENA, which hosted the MENA platform previously, has been contracted by the Global Fund to host again, through April 2020. The MENA platform is one of six regional communication and coordination platforms, which are each hosted by civil society organizations. The main objectives of all of the platforms are:
- Provide information and analysis for communities to better engage with Global Fund-related processes.
- Strengthen engagement of civil society and communities in the implementation of Global Fund grants.
- Improve access to various technical assistance (TA) opportunities for CSOs and other community groups. The platforms will act as a broker of TA, but do not directly provide TA.
- Support community capacity strengthening and engagement in key decision-making processes.
