Abdelhalim El Gaddari, Advocacy and Programs Director.
Alim Al Gaddari, psychologist and sexologist by training, has joined the organization’s staff team as new Advocacy and Programs Director. Alim has been working on HIV field for 15 years in France. Before joining ITPC-MENA he was in charge of International Programs at Sida Info Service, a french organization. During his past experience, Alim successfully managed several HIV-related programs in sub-saharan Africa. He worked in collaboration with several partners and donors such as UNICEF, UNAIDS, the European Union, the City of Paris and France Expertise. The projects focused on West, Central and Northern Africa.
Alia Amimi has just joined ITPC MENA as the advocacy strategy manager. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations in 2014 and holds a Master’s degree in International Governance and Intelligence from the International University of Rabat in dual degree with Sciences Po Grenoble. She has previously held internships in the UNDP Office in Côte d’Ivoire in the Electoral Process Support Department and a one-year internship with the African Development Bank in Morocco She participated in the development of the Bank’s new five-year strategy 2017-2021 by working on the identification of the main sectoral needs and projects, namely in the health sector, but also in support of the Bank’s actions In the framework of its participation in the Cop22.
Ms. Amimi is very interested in health-related issues, and it is in this light that her Bachelor’s thesis has focused on the public health challenges facing global governance.

Zakaria Bahtout, Head of Communication and Partnerships.
Zakaria Bahtout, 34 years old, working as a Communication and Program Partners Officer for the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition in Middle East and North Africa-ITPC MENA and also member of the Youth Advisory Forum of UNAIDS. Moroccan involved in the HIV response to the HIV epidemic since he was teenager. He started as a volunteer at the ALCS (Association de lute Contre le Sida) branch in Marrakech Since 2007. He have learned a lot to the point that He wanted to make a passion for activism become his job. After finishing his university studies, He joined ALCS as staff member where He was serving as a coordinator of prevention activities among youth, workers and tuck drivers. With the support of his organization, He helped developing innovative approaches to reach out to youth in Marrakech and Morocco: we set a funfair (Kermesse) mixing games and knowledge on HIV, launched an SMS platform to answer youth’s questions about sexual and reproductive health, organized sport events (Mini Coupe d’Afrique de Football), concerts etc.
With ITPC MENA his implementing several capacity building and support programs targeting peoples living with HIV/Aids and key populations at higher risk. This enabled him to have extensive links with communities of peoples living with HIV/Aids, sex workers, MSM and People who inject drugs especially the youngest among them who have specific needs in Comparison to the oldest.
As Program and Communication Officer of ITPC MENA, He have developed connexions with local activists and organizations throughout the MENA region.
Imad EL OUALIDI, Administratif & Financial Director
Born in 1983 in Marrakech, he joined the team of ITPC MENA, as a new financial administrative director, he is preparing for his second Master in Accounting, Control, Audit (CCA), holder of a Master in Management Control and Information System (MCGSI), he was an administrative, accounting, and financial director, in a higher education school, where he held several assignments as accounting chief, accounting firms.
Laila Hangal, Head of the Therapeutic Education Program.
Laila joined the ITPC Mena team as a consultant on September 15, 2016, Laila is the therapeutic education program officer by hosting a Facebook page on therapeutic education, working on updating a guide on antiretroviral therapy and As well as capacity-building workshops for PLHIV in therapeutic mediation.
Befor joining ITPC Mena, Laila worked for 8 years with the Association Fighting Against Aids (Association de Lutte Contre le Sida-ALCS Marrakech Brunch) as a project coordinator with women in precarious situations and as a mediator of therapeutics. However, she has provided various prevention activities for young people.
In addition, her involvement with ALCS Laila has several volunteer experiences with several other associations; AMDH, RdR Marrakech, Momarrid and was also a member of the YPEER network.
